Today I asked my older daughter:

"Why is it good to have a family?"

And her answer was:

"Because we love each other."

SHE WAS RIGHT!!!

Can you tell us what YOU think? We are eager to hear your answer!

Bible verses each day

With my 5 year old daughter we have started to learn Bible verses from the book called "ABC Bible verses". She is very good at it. We also apply these verses during the day....when they start an argument we quickly say a verse and talk about sensible and Jesus-like behavior. We have a lot to learn. FIRSTLY,

A is for

"A soft answer turns away wrath" (Proverbs 15:1)

B is for

"Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called sons of God." (Matthew 5:9)

C is for

"Children, obey your parents in all things, for this is well pleasing to the Lord." (Colossians 3:20)

WHEN DO WE START COMMUNICATING IN ANOTHER LANGUAGE?

We live our days "in English". I am focusing on talking in English to the kids as much as possible. The only occasion we don't talk in English is when we have visitors coming to uur house or when we go somewhere and mummy and daddy needs to speak to other people. However, we try to use our second language as often as we can. It is so much fun!

If you want to see how we do this from birth on then follow my updates first about:

-WHAT to SING to such a little baby?
-WHEN to SING to him/her?

We start the day with a song that we have learnt from a mum who also uses many other languages at home with her children. Check out her website http://gyerekkelotthon.hu/

Good morning, Good morning
open your eyes,
the sun is shining
it's time to wake up

2. "Changing nappy" song by Hanni

Change your nappy, change your nappy
carefully, carefully
Throw it to the dustbin
Throw it to the dustbin
Now it's clean
Now it's clean.

We use cloth nappies at home with David.
When we travel or go somewhere it is easier to put on a paper nappy though. However, we experienced many blessings of using cloth nappies with my older daughters thus I try this again with our third child. Hanni, our first daughter was potty trained at the age of 1 and she did not need a nappy any more after that. Bekka, our second daughter was a bit clumsy using cloth nappies, however, at the age of 2 she was quite good at telling me when she needed the toilet too.
Therefor, we try them with Dave now:)

10 o'clock rhyme time with mummy

Here are David's fingers
Here are David's toes
Here is David's belly button
Round and round it goes.

...and with Hanni

I remember when I read this little cloth book to Hanni 5 years ago and now she is reading it to her little brother. Isn't is fantastic? We got this book from a friend in York. I can't be thankful enough for the opportunity we had from 2005 until 2008. We lived in the UK, made friends, learnt a lot about English culture and lots more I am not able to sum up right now.

Family picture in August 2013

We are greatly blessed with a cute little boy who is contented and so peaceful.
We can not stop wondering how blessed we are by God.
We give thanks for His love and mercy we experience every day.

He is our Savior and loving Father!
We live because He wanted us to live!

I will be writing about our summer camp we went to last week. God gave me and Balazs 5 lovely days when our children were looked after by friends meanwhile we studied God's Word and had quite a lot of quite time. I learnt so much about God and what He wants us to become.

I also experienced how loving sisters and brothers can be. Many Thanks to and for them !

More pictures and updates will follow later on.
